Dates and Facts

• Key Dates
  • October 7:
    • Vote by Mail ballots start to be mailed.
    • Voting opens at the Elections Department.
  • October 8: Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Boxes available.
  • October 21: Voter Registration deadline.
  • October 22: Conditional Voter Registration and same day voting begins at the Elections Department.
  • TBD: Public test of ballot counting equipment in the Elections Department.
  • October 26: 11 day Vote Center Locations open.
  • October 29: Last day to request a vote by mail ballot by phone to be mailed (voters can still pick up a ballot at any Vote Center in Marin).
  • November 2: 4 day Vote Center Locations open.
  • November 5, 2024: Election Day - All Vote Center Locations open 7 am to 8pm.

August 19 is the deadline to file arguments for local measures. Arguments must be filed during regular business hours, weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
