Overview
The Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee, or VAAC, is required for implementation of the Voter’s Choice Act. The purpose of the Committee is to:
- Advise and assist the Registrar of Voters with implementation of the Voter’s Choice Act relating to access for voters with disabilities.
- Advise the Registrar of Voters on potential barriers to participation for voters with disabilities.
- Advise the Registrar of Voters on effective strategies to serve voters with disabilities needing assistance or services, as required by state or federal election law.
- Advise and/or assist the Registrar of Voters in establishing community partnerships that may facilitate serving voters with disabilities.
