Key Dates

  • April 16: The Registrar of Voters conducts a random drawing to decide the order of candidate names on the ballot.
  • July 3:
    • Voting opens.
    • Voting available at the Fair Booth and Elections Department.
  • July 4: Voting available at the Fair Booth.
  • July 5: Voting available at the Fair Booth and Elections Department.
  • July 6: Voting available at the Fair Booth.
  • July 7:
    • Last day to vote.
    • Voting available at the Fair Booth.
  • July 8:
    • Public test of ballot counting equipment is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Elections Department.
    • Ballot counting will start after Public test of ballot counting equipment is completed.
    • Election results will be posted by 5 pm.
  • July 9: The Registrar of Voters will conduct a hand count of one percent (1%) of all the ballots counted to confirm that the machine count is accurate.
  • July 12: The deadline for the Marin County Elections Department to certify the election results.
