    Education and Qualifications: Eighteen years ago, my husband and I moved to Mill Valley to raise our family. I am a longtime community volunteer and an attorney. I am running for City Council because I care about our community and want to work on issues that affect the quality of life for all that live, work, and do business in Mill Valley. Currently I am on the Board of Mill Valley Little League where I was President for 4 years. I was also President of Old Mill School PTA and volunteered for Kiddo! As an original member of the Storybook Ball committee, I helped raise funds for the Mill Valley Library Foundation. I also served on the Board of the Marin County Bar Association, serving two terms as Treasurer. I employ a proactive and reasoned approach to solving problems and believe the best solutions result from collaboration. My legal background has helped me develop critical thinking skills and the ability to manage and resolve conflicts. I am committed to bring people together to effectively work through current community issues relating to housing, traffic and roadways, emergency preparedness, environmental sustainability, and downtown vitality. I would be honored to have your support for City Council.

Estoy lanzando mi candidatura para el Concejo Municipal porque me importa nuestra comunidad y quiero trabajar en los asuntos que afectan la calidad de vida de todos los que viven, trabajan y hacen negocios en Mill Valley. Actualmente soy miembro de la junta directiva de Mill Valley Little League, de la que fui presidenta por 4 años. También fui presidenta de la asociación de padres y maestros de Old Mill School y fui voluntaria en Kiddo! En mi función como miembro inicial del comité de Storybook Ball, ayudé a recaudar fondos para la fundación de la biblioteca de Mill Valley.     Education and Qualifications:I’m a seasoned business executive, community volunteer, and sustainability expert, and I’m running for Mill Valley City Council because I’m passionate about leaving a better world for our children. In 2021, I was appointed to the City of Mill Valley Climate Action Plan Taskforce, chairing the Buildings and Energy Subcommittee. I want to ensure that we address critical issues such as housing; wildfire; equity; and traffic; while confronting climate change and enhancing our quality of life. With a track record of fiscal, civic, and environmental stewardship, I’ll lead our community towards a healthier, safer, just future. At Apple and Autodesk for decades, and now as an entrepreneur and a Senior Outreach and Business Development Consultant in the U.S. Department of Energy, I’ve managed global teams and large budgets, collaboratively delivering innovative programs, stakeholder consensus, and strategic problem-solving, skills I’m eager to dedicate to Mill Valley. In my family’s 15 years here, I’ve been a hands-on community volunteer. I chaired the Greenwood School Parent- Teacher Circle; organized Memorial Day Parade floats; and led community events like WinterFaire. I promoted Be The Influence to curb youth substance abuse, volunteered at numerous Tamalpais High School activities, and coached for the Mill Valley Soccer Club. • How do I update my registration?

  Online at registertovote.ca.gov OR by paper registration form, postmarked no later than February 20, 2023.

• Will the post office forward my ballot?

  No. Forwarding a ballot is not allowed.

• I will be out of town, How can I vote?

  Call and give us your temporary mailing address. We will mail the ballot one time to that address. Call 415-473-6456.

• Can someone else pick up a ballot for me?

  Yes, with written permission a representative can pick up your ballot at the Elections Department. The required Provide Vote By Mail Ballot to Representative Application is available on our website.

• What if I lose my ballot or make a mistake?

  You may go to any Vote Center and receive a replacement ballot; OR you may request a replacement be sent to you by mailing the Replacement Vote-By-Mail Ballot Application to the Elections Department; OR you may request an accessible ballot to mark at home by emailing votebymail@marincounty.org (RAVBM in subject line).

  If you make a mistake, you may call 415-473-6456 for instructions.

• What if I forget to sign my envelope?

  Only you (not someone else) must sign your envelope for your ballot to be counted. If your signature is missing OR does not compare with your voter registration, you will get a letter telling you how to correct the problem.

• How do I return my vote by mail ballot?

  Mail it in your signed envelope, postmarked on or before Election Day, March 7, OR hand deliver to any Vote Center or Official Ballot Drop Box. See our List of Vote Center locations or List of Drop Box Locations for days and hours of operation.

• How do I know you received my ballot?

  Sign up at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov, check the Voter Information Portal (VIP) on our website, OR call the Elections Department at (415) 473-6456.

• Where can I vote in person?

  Vote at any of the 4 Vote Centers in Marin County. See our List of Vote Center locations for days and hours of operation.

• Is my nearest Vote Center accessible?

  Vote Centers are accessible. See our List of Vote Center locations or call us 415-473-6456 for details.

• Need support at Vote Center?

  Each Vote Center has:

  • An accessible marking device to help you mark your ballot independently and privately. A sip/puff device can be provided by calling in advance.
  • A wheelchair-accessible voting booth, magnifiers, pens with easy to hold grips.
  • Curbside voting if you cannot physically get inside the Vote Center. Call when you are outside. An election worker will bring you a ballot and then put your voted ballot into the ballot box.
• Where is an accessible voting machine?

  An accessible ballot marking device is at each Vote Center.

• What if I do not speak English well?

  The Vote Center worker will:

  • Point out instructions in voting booth.
  • Demonstrate how to mark the ballot.

  Required translated sample ballots are posted at Vote Centers. Some Vote Centers have a bilingual worker; tell us if you need bilingual service.

• Sign language interpreter.

• Can I get a ride to a Vote Center?

  Marin Access 415-454-0902 provides services for older adults, persons with disabilities and low-income residents. You may need to register. Call immediately to find out how they can help you. For more information, see our Transportation Assistance page on our website.

• Alternative formats upon request.

  Large print of some ballot materials may be available and a CD may be available for local measure information. Call 415-473-6456 (voice), 415-473-6899 (TTY), toll free 833-644-2061, or email elections@marincounty.org.

• Voting by mail?

  All active registered voters will be mailed a ballot.
