• Key Dates
  • February 3: Ballots mailed and vote-by-mail begins in Elections Department weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • February 14: Contact Elections Department if you have not received your ballot
  • February 17: Last day to mail voter registration form
  • February 18: Late registration begins in the Elections Department and continues until 8 p.m. on Election Day
  • February 25: Application for a vote-by-mail ballot must be received by the Elections Department to fulfill the request by mail
  • March 3, 2020: Election Day
    • Polls and Elections Department open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. May register and vote at polling place or Elections Department
    • Vote-by-mail ballot envelopes must be signed and postmarked on or before this day
    • Voters can drop their vote-by-mail ballot (in its signed envelope) at the Elections Department or polling place by 8 p.m.

  • The sample ballot in some precincts has been translated into Spanish. The sample ballot in some precincts has been translated into Vietnamese. To request a copy, contact the Elections Department no later than seven days before the election:

    • Email: elections@marincounty.org
    • Mail a written request to PO Box E, San Rafael, CA 94913. Must arrive seven days before Election Day
