New shade structure at the bike park picnic plaza.

Project Description

The long-awaited shade structure has been installed at Stafford Lake Bike Park. This new steel structure was oriented and designed specifically to provide maximum shade opportunities in the picnic plaza while working within existing site constraints.

Installation was completed in 2020. During that time, the lower portions of the bike park, including the two pump tracks and picnic area, were closed during construction. Call 415-473-JUMP (5867) for latest bike park closure updates.

Timeline

2018-19: Site analysis, planning, design.
Fall 2019: Construction contract awarded.
Winter 2019–Spring 2020: Installation.
Summer 2020: Open to the public.
