Bridge Replacement

A decades old bridge crossing a creek was becoming unsafe. The old bridge was completely removed. A new bridge was constructed, designed to harmonize with the unique natural character of the neighborhood, and offer safe passage to trails beloved by local visitors.

• Aging wooden structure safely removed.
• New concrete footings, landings, bridge, and handrails installed.
• Waterline upgraded.

• June 2016: Hydraulic analysis report
• April 2017–June 2018: Permitting process
• February–May 2018: Site layout, engineering, design and specifications
• July 2018: Construction bidding
• August–September 2018: Demolition and construction
• October 2018: Bridge opens to the neighborhood

This project required approvals by the following agencies:

• San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board
• United States Army Corps of Engineers
