  • Hiking at San Geronimo Park is mostly flat – easy loops or out and back.
  • San Geronimo Park has two sections, divided by Nicasio Valley Road – Larsen Meadow and San Geronimo Meadow.
  • You can also journey into Roy’s Redwoods and other open space preserves. Miles of regional trails connect here.
  • Larsen Creek and San Geronimo Creek support one of the last remaining populations of endangered Coho Salmon and threatened Steelhead Trout. Learn about conservation initiatives.
  • Enjoy the shade of majestic heritage oaks.
  • Friendly dogs on leash or under voice control are welcome.

Know Before You Go

  • All groups of 20 or more must obtain a permit in advance before visiting.
  • Most trails are unshaded. Wear a hat and sunscreen as needed.
  • There are portable restrooms on the Larson Meadow property and at the San Geronimo Commons parking lot. Plan accordingly.
  • No poo-lution. Pick up after dogs and horses. 
  • Take advantage of the large public parking lot at San Geronimo Commons, 5800 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Do not park on West Nicasio Road, which is private property.
