Project Description
The applicant requests Preapplication review of a preliminary proposal to demolish existing improvements and subdivide the property into 62 lots with 62 three-story residential townhomes on the approximately 6.02-acre site contained within Assessor’s Parcel 179-321-37 and -36 located in an unincorporated area of San Rafael. Development associated with the subdivision would include new residences, roadway and driveway improvements, drainageway improvements, new utilities, common areas, and maintenance areas.
The townhomes would be located within 14 detached, three-story buildings that would reach a maximum height of 38 feet above the surrounding grade. The proposed townhomes would range in size from three to four bedrooms, and 20 percent of the homes would be made affordable for income-qualified households.
