Project Description
The applicant requests retroactive Use Permit approval for a Recycling, Scrap and Dismantling Yards, where the applicant crushes broken concrete for reuse and for the screening of clean soil on a developed lot in North Novato. Components of the use include material staging area, equipment prep area, related crushing equipment, a 20-foot-tall water tower, 35-foot-tall silo, office/break room structure, generator, 1,500 gallon holding tanks, and area parking area. The proposed operations would include 5-15 personal on site each day and would not be open to the public. Proposed hours of operation are 6:30am to 4pm with incoming and outgoing delivers times varying.
Use Permit approval is required because a Recycling, Scrap and Dismantling Yards is a conditionally permitted use per Table 2-1 of Marin County Code section 22.08.030.
