Alzheimer's Association - Marin Chapter

This site provides factual information on Alzheimer's disease, offers resources for people living with Alzheimer's, their families and professionals who provide care.

California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform

CANHR provides information about assisted living (board and care), nursing homes, Medi-Cal, and other elder issues and offers additional information about California facilities.

EAH Housing

EAH develops, manages and promotes rental housing in the Bay Area for very low, low and moderate income families, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

Edgewater Seniors Club

The Edgewater Seniors Club provides opportunities for seniors to gather at special events, share experiences, and create friendships. Sausalito Parks and Recreation supports the club by providing meeting space and more.

Elder Abuse Program

The Marin County District Attorney's Office is collaborating with many agencies and community-based organizations to address the subject of elder abuse in our community. Call our information line at (415) 473-5050.

Elder Financial Protection Network


EFPN works to prevent financial abuse of elders and dependent adults through community education programs, public awareness campaigns and coordination of financial institution employee training.

Family Caregiver Alliance

Provides services to persons who are caring for a loved one with an adult-onset neurological impairment including stroke, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's.

Legal Aid of Marin

Library Beyond Walls

Library Beyond Walls provides free in-home delivery of library materials to homebound patrons of the Marin County Free Library.

LITA (Love is the Answer)

LITA matches volunteers with the lonely and isolated elderly living in skilled nursing, residential care and retirement residence facilities for one-to-one weekly visits.

Margaret Todd Senior Center

As a program of the City of Novato, the center offers enrichment and fitness courses, special events, specialty groups, game groups, senior services, information and referral as well as multiple on-going activities.

Marguerita C. Johnson Senior Center

A nonprofit organization located in Southern Marin. We provide programs, referral services, and activities for senior citizens 60 and older. Activities include monthly shopping trips, grocery bingo, arts & crafts, tai-chi, movie day, and monthly luncheons with guest speakers.

Marin County Commission on Aging

The Marin County Commission on Aging is a 23-member federally mandated advisory council to the Marin County Board of Supervisors. The Commission works closely with the County's Division of Aging on behalf of Marin

Marin Villages

Marin Villages' mission is to help older adults remain independent in their homes and communities, with dignity and grace. Marin Villages recognizes the need to offer older adults an alternative when deciding how and where they would like to age and provide opportunities for them to remain socially engaged.

Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal is California's Medicaid health care program. In Marin County, the program is administered by the Department of Health & Human Services' Division of Social Services.

Nova-Ro Housing

Provides affordable housing for needy Novato senior citizens. Nova-Ro Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation created through efforts of the Novato Rotary Club members.

Novato Senior Citizens Club

Club members enjoy many benefits which include socializing with peers, staying active through planned programs and activities, a warm and friendly environment, reduced fees for club trips, priority registration on club trips, a monthly newsletter, and more!

Respecting Our Elders, Inc.

An all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing free food for low-income seniors in Marin County.

Seniors At Home

Seniors•At•Home offers a range of services including home care, palliative and end of life care, skilled nursing, care management, counseling, money management and conservatorships, spiritual care and volunteer services.

Skyview Day Club

The Adult Day program provides specialized daytime services for older adults who need supervised, personal care and assistance. We offer engaging social activities, creative art and music programs, intellectual stimulation, group exercise, lunch and respite for caregivers.

Tam House

Tam House provides high quality, affordable cooperative housing for independent and active women and men 63 and over in two beautiful homes in San Anselmo.
